Advancement Through Athletics (ATA) is a college readiness non-profit organization supporting youth through track and field. ATA’s primary focus is to develop the athletic potential, leadership and academic success of underserved youth athletes.
Advancement Through Athletics is a college readiness track and field club based in Indianapolis, IN. College readiness is defined as the ability for students to demonstrate the knowledge and skills required to successfully complete basic freshman level college courses (Apex Learning). At Advancement Through Athletics, college readiness also includes the transition experience (the first 6 months to a year). Our mission is to prepare scholars for college and collegiate athletics through track and field.
The Academy is the highest level of college readiness Advancement Through Athletics offers. Scholar-athletes in The Academy engage in high level club track and field, team practices, leadership development and academic success initiatives to portray the realities of life not only as a college student, but college athlete.
The Pack is a recreational version of the Academy. Scholar-athletes in elementary to middle school have access to club track and field, team practices, leadership development and college exposure throughout their time in The Pack.
It is never too early to start college literacy. Our youngest scholar-athletes will participate in age appropriate track and field clinics, early college literacy workshops and leadership modules available online.
